Events
There are a number of events throughout the year. These include a Fourth of July fireworks display, monster truck races, Hobi Cat competitions, and powerboat races.
In October there is a Fabulous Fifties Celebration with a memorabilia show and sale, exhibits of1950's culture, DooWop trolley tours and more.

- New Jersey Firefighters Convention - THis event is held annually every September. It features a parade featuring a variety of Fire equipment.
- Ultimate Frisbee Tournament - This event is held each July and features teams from around the world.
Transportation
The Great American Trolley Company e provides transportation from Anglesea avenue in the north through the entertainment district, the main street business district, the boardwalk and the DooWop district.
The Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority provides a free Dolly the Trolley service.
There is boardwalk tram that you can board just about anywhere the runs the full length of the boardwalk.
Surfing
Each of the municipalities : North Wildwood, Wildwood and Wildwood Crest have their own regulations regarding surfing.

While there is plenty do do in Wildwood, there are a number of other nearby attractions.
Atlantic City
You can also travel about a half hour north to Atlantic City with it's Casinos entertainment and sophisticated nightlife. The town of Margate just south of Atlantic City is home to Lucy The Elephant, an iconic attraction.
Cape May
If you enjoy a quaint Victorian setting, beautiful Cape May is just about 15 minutes south. The Cape May Lighthouse is at Cape May Point. You can get there via scenic Ocean Drive (County Highway 621). Bridge tolls apply. Sunset Beach can be found at the end of Sunset Blvd (County Highway 606).
Cape May County Park and Zoo.
The Cape May County Park and Zoo is free for most visitors. It is open 7 days a week year round.
Naval Air Station Wildwood
For aviation buffs, the Naval Air Station Wildwood hosts a great collection of over 25 vintage aircraft.
