Wildwood is a family resort on the coast at the southern end of New Jersey. It is just north of Cape May. It is a vacation resort known for it's wide sandy beaches, boardwalk and nightlife. It's also famous for it's Doo Wop hotels and architecture. There are inlets north and south of wildwood that provide easy access to the Atlantic Ocean for sport fishing. The Intracoastal Waterway passes the Wildwoods on the bay side. The bay provides ample opportunity for fishing, sailing, jet skiing and other water sports. Due to the geography and currents, the Wildwoods have one of the widest beaches in New Jersey.

The Wildwoods are actually comprised of three separate municipalities: Wildwood, North Wildwood and Wildwood Crest.  Each of these are governed separately.
