Wildwood is known for it's beaches, boardwalk and nightlife. You can also find fishing and boating. If you travel about 15 minutes south, you will find historic Cape May with it's wonderful Victorian buildings. A half hour's ride to the north will bring you to Atlantic City and it's casinos and shows.
Another thing that makes Wildwood notable is it's Doo Wop Architecture.
There is also a magnificent convention center on the southern end of the boardwalk.

Cape May County Park and Zoo. The zoo is home to a variety of animals including reptiles zebras, bison, monkeys, giraffes, and more. There is no admission charge although they will accept donations. Historic Cold Spring Village. Located on route nine just minutes away from the Wildwoods. It is an early American open air living history museum. The museum is open for a memorial day through Labor Day and several weekends in September. It is composed of 25 historic buildings and has seasonal fares concert festivals and other activities.
