The Hereford Inlet Lighthouse is located at the Northern end of the Wildwoods

nside you will find one of the original fresnel lenses from the Lighthouse.  If you've never seen one up close they are truly amazing. The interior is furnished in period style. The tower stairs are tight but easily navigated. When I visited you could not go to the very top level since the United States Coast Guard was still active in maintaining the light. The top room has a nice collection of photographs of the Wildwoods.

Behind the Lighthouse are beautiful gardens. It is definitely worthwhile to take a stroll through them.

The lighthouse is located at 111 North Central Avenue  North Wildwood.  They are open year round but you need to call for winter hours .  There is an admission fee .
